Whittier College requires applicants to complete a rigorous high school curriculum, including four years of English, three years of math (up to Algebra II), two years of laboratory science, two years of social science, and two years of a foreign language. A minimum GPA of 3.0 is recommended, though exceptions may apply based on holistic review.
Standardized test scores (SAT/ACT) are optional but can strengthen an application. Extracurricular involvement, leadership experience, and personal essays are also evaluated. Transfer students must submit college transcripts and demonstrate a minimum 2.5 GPA. International applicants need proof of English proficiency via TOEFL, IELTS, or Duolingo scores.
