The University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC) is a public university. It is a joint venture between the University of Nottingham in the UK and Zhejiang Wanli University in China, established in 2004. As a Sino-foreign cooperative university, it operates under the approval of the Chinese Ministry of Education.
UNNC follows the UK higher education model and offers degrees accredited by both the University of Nottingham and the Chinese government. While it receives public funding and oversight, it maintains an international curriculum and governance structure, blending elements of both public and private educational systems.
