The University of New Haven evaluates applicants based on academic performance, standardized test scores, and supplemental materials. A strong high school GPA, typically 3.0 or higher, is preferred. SAT or ACT scores are considered but may be optional for some programs. International students must demonstrate English proficiency via TOEFL (75+) or IELTS (6.0+).
Some programs may require additional criteria, such as portfolios for art majors or interviews for selective degrees. Transfer students need prior college credits with a minimum 2.5 GPA. Graduate applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree and submit GRE/GMAT scores if specified by their chosen program.
