The University of California (UC) requires applicants to meet specific academic and residency criteria. Applicants must complete 15 year-long high school courses, including 4 years of English, 3 years of math, 2 years of science, 2 years of history/social science, and 2 years of a language other than English. Additionally, students must earn a minimum GPA of 3.0 for California residents or 3.4 for non-residents.
Standardized test scores (SAT/ACT) are no longer considered. Non-residents must demonstrate English proficiency if applicable. Transfer students need 60 semester or 90 quarter UC-transferable units with a 2.4+ GPA (2.8+ for non-residents).
