To be eligible for undergraduate admission at the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC), applicants must complete the UC freshman requirements. These include completing 15 year-long high school courses (11 in grades 9-12) in A-G subjects, earning a minimum 3.0 GPA (3.4 for non-residents), and submitting SAT/ACT scores (test-blind for 2023-2024).
Transfer students need 60 semester/90 quarter UC-transferable units, a 2.4+ GPA (2.8+ for non-residents), and completion of IGETC or UCSC major prerequisites. International applicants must demonstrate English proficiency via TOEFL (80+), IELTS (6.5+), or Duolingo (115+).
