To be eligible for undergraduate programs at South East Technological University (SETU), formerly Waterford Institute of Technology (WIT), applicants must meet the Leaving Certificate requirements, including at least six subjects with a minimum of two H5 grades and four O6/H7 grades. English or Irish must be one of the subjects. Specific courses may have additional subject or grade requirements.
For postgraduate programs, a relevant Level 8 bachelor’s degree or equivalent is typically required. International students must provide proof of English proficiency (e.g., IELTS 6.0 or equivalent). Mature applicants (23+) may apply through the university’s alternative entry pathway.
