What is the admission process of Princeton University?

Princeton University’s admission process is highly selective and holistic. Applicants must submit the Common Application, Coalition Application, or Universal College Application, along with a Princeton-specific supplement. Required materials include high school transcripts, teacher recommendations, a school report, and standardized test scores (SAT or ACT).

Princeton also requires graded written papers to assess academic writing skills. Interviews, conducted by alumni, are optional but recommended. The university practices need-blind admission for domestic students and meets 100% of demonstrated financial need. Deadlines vary for single-choice early action (November 1) and regular decision (January 1). Decisions are released in mid-December and late March, respectively.
