Hope College requires applicants to complete a rigorous high school curriculum, including four years of English, three years of math (through algebra II), two years of natural science, two years of social science, and two years of foreign language. A competitive GPA, typically 3.5 or higher, is expected.
Standardized test scores (SAT/ACT) are optional but can strengthen an application. Extracurricular involvement, leadership roles, and personal essays are also evaluated. International students must demonstrate English proficiency via TOEFL (79+) or IELTS (6.5+). Transfer students need a minimum 2.5 GPA from accredited institutions.
