What is the admission process of Duke University?

The admission process at Duke University is highly competitive and holistic, evaluating academic excellence, extracurricular involvement, and personal qualities. Applicants must submit the Common Application or Coalition Application, along with a supplemental essay specific to Duke.

Required materials include high school transcripts, letters of recommendation, standardized test scores (optional for 2023-2024), and a non-refundable application fee or fee waiver. Some programs may require additional materials like portfolios or interviews.

Decisions are released in early April for Regular Decision and mid-December for Early Decision applicants. Financial aid applications are considered separately but should be submitted by deadlines.
