Ireland offers a Third Level Graduate Scheme, allowing non-EU graduates to remain for up to 24 months to seek employment. Graduates with Level 8 (honours bachelor’s) or higher qualifications can apply. The visa duration depends on the degree level: 12 months for Level 7 (ordinary bachelor’s) and 24 months for Level 8-10 (master’s/PhD).
During this period, graduates can work full-time without needing an employment permit. After securing a job, they may transition to a General Employment Permit or Critical Skills Employment Permit. Applications are submitted to the Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Service (INIS) with proof of graduation and financial means.
