Engineering courses at Washington & Jefferson College

Washington & Jefferson College offers a pre-engineering program in collaboration with other universities. Students complete three years of liberal arts and science coursework at W&J, followed by two years at an engineering school. This 3-2 program leads to two degrees: a bachelor’s from W&J and an engineering degree from the partner institution.

Popular partner schools include Case Western Reserve University and Columbia University. The program emphasizes a broad foundation in math, physics, and chemistry, alongside critical thinking skills. W&J’s small class sizes ensure personalized attention, preparing students for rigorous engineering studies.
